What it takes to join Guildry
Guildry is invite-only during pilot. Before you apply, here’s what you’ll need to have ready and what we’ll verify. The whole signup takes about 15 minutes when you have everything on hand.
Requirements
Council reviews each application. Approval typically takes less than one business day once your application is submitted.
Stripe identity verification
Provide your SSN or EIN and bank account through Stripe Connect Express. Stripe (not Guildry) verifies your identity and holds those values securely. Required so Guildry can pay you and report 1099 income at year-end. Stripe may also ask for a business website — if you don’t have one, a social media profile (Facebook, Instagram, Nextdoor, Google Business) works.
General liability insurance
Active policy with at least 30 days remaining at signup. Upload a digital copy of your certificate of insurance during onboarding. If you don’t have insurance, you can request a Council review explaining your situation — acceptance is not guaranteed.
Phoenix metro service area
V1 is limited to providers operating in the Phoenix, Arizona metro area. We expand to other markets once the pilot stabilizes.
Listed service category
Pick one or more of our curated service categories (House Cleaning, Lawn & Garden, Handyman, Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Pest Control, Pool Service). If the work you do isn’t covered, contact us — we may add a category.
Pass our duplicate-identity check
We hash and check your SSN/EIN, bank account, and insurance policy against a banned-identities list to prevent re-onboarding after a prior account was closed for cause. Most providers pass this automatically.
Invite-only access (pilot)
V1 is invite-only while we onboard our first ten founding providers and run the first hundred jobs. Email us to get on the waitlist or request an invite code.
The signup wizard, step by step
Once you have an invite code, the wizard walks you through six steps:
- Account. Your name and phone number. Email is optional.
- Business. Business name, default tax rate, default deposit %, payment terms.
- Services. Pick the categories you offer and the ZIP codes you serve.
- Coverage. Insurer name, policy number, expiration, and a copy of your certificate.
- Identity. Redirect to Stripe to verify SSN/EIN and bank account.
- Review. One screen to confirm everything, then submit for Council review.
We’ll text you when your application is approved. Pre-approval you can browse your dashboard read-only to see what features you’ll have access to.
What it costs
During the V1 pilot, Guildry charges providers no platform fees. You receive the full amount your customer pays, minus Stripe’s standard card-processing fee (~2.9% + $0.30). Post-pilot fee structure will be communicated in writing in advance — there are no surprise charges.
